Heat-sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients
Spray drying technology and freeze-drying technology are commonly used in the drying process of active pharmaceutical ingredients production.
In the traditional spray drying process, hot air is usually used to dry the material liquid. During this process, heat-sensitive materials are prone to thermal decomposition and denaturation due to the influence of the inlet heat medium. In addition, due to the induction of heat and the increase in concentration, it is easy to cause irreversible aggregation of substances such as proteins, intensifying denaturation. At present, traditional spray drying mainly has disadvantages such as high energy consumption, serious heat loss, low degree of automation and low cleanliness level.
During the vacuum freeze-drying process, the drying is accomplished by the conversion of the material liquid among the liquid phase, solid phase and gas phase. After the material liquid is frozen into a solid state, it is depressurized at a low temperature and the drying is completed by the evaporation of water based on the principle of vacuum sublimation. Although vacuum freeze-drying can solve the problem of thermal denaturation of heat-sensitive substances, it still has problems such as long drying time, low drying efficiency, high operating costs, high energy consumption and low batch production capacity.
Compared with the traditional vacuum freeze-drying and spray drying methods, the MSD drying technology offers a brand-new solution for the drying of heat-sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Drying and granulation
Spray drying technology is generally regarded as a type of drying and granulation technology with unlimited possibilities. The MSD/SMSD technology, which has made changes based on the principle of spray drying, also has more possibilities in drying and granulation.
Whether it is small molecule compounds, peptides, proteins, enzymes, antibodies, vaccines, cells or any other products, the preparation of various granulation forms such as amorphous, crystalline, encapsulated drugs, solid, porous, hollow, etc., or various particle size requirements, all have the possibility of realization through MSD technology. We welcome customers from all over the world to join us in testing and development. Bring unlimited possibilities to your particles.
